Plastic Latch on the trunk lid??? 4 What?

Inside the trunk besides the 4 chrome hooks for the cargo net...and beside the grocery bag hook (really cool) there is a plastic latch on the inside of the trunk lid. There was nothing in it from the dealer when I picked up the car...What goes in it...I thought it may be an umbrella holder.?????
