  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The Genesis Certified Pre-Owned warranty says this:

So, if I were to purchase a 2021 Genesis Certified Pre-Owned vehicle with 15,000 miles on it, that had an original in-service date of June 8, 2021, please answer the following:

(1) If the 6-year aspect of the warranty described above were to occur before the 75,000 mile aspect of the warranty, what would be the date that the warranty would expire?

(2) If, on the other hand, the 75,000 mile aspect of the warranty were to occur first, how many total miles would I be able to drive the vehicle before the warranty would expire, keeping in mind that the vehicle had 15,000 miles on it at the time I purchased it?

I believe I know the answer, but I had two different dealers give me different answers to this question.

Thanks.

The way I read it, you get 6/75 from first day of service. expires June 8, 2027 or 75,000 miles. .

At a glance, confusing but the last part clarifies it. "Measured form the Original In-Service Date and zero (0) miles."

So, are you saying that for question #2 above, I would be able to drive it 75,000 miles from the time I purchase the car, so the car would have a total of 90,000 miles (the original 15,000 miles the vehicle had at the time I purchased it PLUS the additional 75,000 miles) at the time the warranty would expire?

OR

Are you saying that I would be able to drive the vehicle 60,000 miles from the time I purchased it, and the warranty would then expire when the vehicle had a total of 75,000 miles (60,000 miles PLUS the 15,000 miles that were on the vehicle at the time I purchased it, for a total of 75,000 miles)?

You get 60k for a total of 75k on the odometer.

This. Or 6 yrs from first in-service, whichever occurs first.
