  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My first post here. It's time to change the plugs on my 2010 3.8 sedan. I'll have to remove the intake/plenum. Doing this requires some new gaskets but I'm not sure which ones. I see up to 4 but do not know if I need them all.

Also not sure what the torque specs are. My manual says 26nm but that seems high. Not tightening pattern lasted also.

Check out this video, the shows the gaskets and part number that he used and they appear to be used on most all 3.8 V6 engines. As far as the torque spec of 26Nm, that is 312 inch pounds which is pretty high for bolts. I would try to access the online manual for maintenance. I am currently waiting for a response from them and will add a comment when I get it.

This (intake manifold) looks wrong to me too.

My engine unfortunately looks different.

First image is the VVT that is leaking. When I tried to order one, it gives me 4 options. Which one do I need? I'm guessing it's the left intake.

Different than my 2014 and others that I have seen. Your oil filter appears to be on top like the 3.3 V6 which makes me think you have the Series I 3.8 V6. Hoping someone can weigh in on this.

The car is a 2010 but it says the manufacture was in early 2009. I'm guessing the engine is a 1st gen.
