  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just spitballing here: Is it possible to use a stinger diff or maybe an awd diff to get limited slip going on the g80 sport (non-Awd)? looking for a cheaper alternative with little modification to stock.

I was looking to do some stuff with the jb4; but the car breaks loose a little as it is with the open diff.

Given the Thread Title and my recreational habits, I hoped that this thread referred to something other than Limited Slip Differentials....

sigh....... car forums.:grinlaugh:

It caught my attention as well! 😎

So basically, the LSD allows the non-slipping wheel to get a larger share of the HP and torque than the slipping wheel.

Good description under "Benefits" on this page:

Since it's a clutch type LSD, not relying on the ECU to engage, I think you should be able to. I read that some BMW owners have put LSD from the M cars on their non-M cars.

Check out ARB air locker, not sure if it will work on these cars or not. Their products are bullet proof, used and abused by the off-road crowd in either diff. I used it in the front diff of my plow truck when needing extra traction pushing snow.
