  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey guys, I bought my 2013 3.8 about a year and a half ago and other than electrical issues and the drivers seat wearing out after 20k miles I have been pleased with the car. I did get the tech and luxury packages on my 2013, and recently checked out a new genesis 5.0 in person. I was very impressed with the exterior and interior fit and finish. The interior seems miles ahead of the last gen. My question is this - is the current gen a much better car in terms if electronics and reliability of these components? Are the seats better with respect to comfort and durability? It seems the cars have their fair share of issues, but any first gen car will have similar problems. Overall my 13 Genesis has been nice but a little disappointing in the quality category - I want to give Hyundai another shot but definitely don't want to have the same experience twice. Your thoughts an input is greatly appreciated.

I am the owner of 2015 ultimate with htrac, I have one of the first production models. So far I love the car, seats extremely comfortable, Have had a few problems minor, but I expected this, first year out there will be glitches. Maybe wait for the 2016 production models by then the glitches will most probably be worked out.

I bet you would be happy with any migration second gen. Currently I have both and am happy second gen at this time. Not as light on it's feet (heavier with my options), but very refined... Top-quality details.

I came to my Genesis from 14 years of driving Volvos and their amazing seats. Volvo is widely accepted as having the best seats in the business. I would have to agree as fatigue has never been an issue. I thoroughly enjoy the Genesis seats and while not exactly the same as Volvo they provides so many adjustments that anyone can find the perfect seating position. I am extremely pleased with the distance between my head and the seat headrest. In the Volvo there is quite a bit of travel. In the Genesis its no more than an inch and feels much better in my opinion.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
best seats i've had were in my VW CC. I like how the Genesis seats have adjustable bolsters. some merc's have bolsters that react to side-ways G-forces and push you back into the center of the seat!

Before my purchase of a '15 3.8 Genny, I drove a left-over '14. After the test drive, I would not have purchase the '14 at any price. It was a night and day driving experience.

I have only 4,000 miles on my car so can't offer much advise on reliability other than the only warranty problem that I had was the replacement of the nav system antenna.

It's a great car especially for the money.

I highly recommend the 2015 and I would spare no expense and get the Ultimate package. You won't be disappointed. The HUD, seats amongst other things makes this package worth the extra mulla.
