  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well CRAP !. Yesterday, I was leaving the gym (trying to lose weight) I was trying to avoid driving through a big puddle and not very familiar with my car yet, I scraped the rim of my wheel on a curb. It scrapped the black paint off about a ten inch area on the rim. It's not really noticeable except to ME. I'm SO anal about my stuff, just can't help it.

I guess, I could get some touch-up paint, but, in reality, it should be ground smooth and re-coated.

I have a call in to my dealer to see if their powder coating guy can do it.

suggestions for my dumb move?

I'd leave it alone but I'm a cheapskate. I wasn't even able to find the defect for a while and I had the high res photo full screen on a quality 27" display.

Sorry, your vision is okay. This is the new wheel. I'll post the damage later when I get outside.(y)
