  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

The fold in when locked, out when unlocked mirror feature on my 2024 G70 suddenly quit working today. The odometer on the car just hit 1000 miles. I can still adjust the mirrors, and the blind spot warning symbol still shows up, but the folding feature won't. Has anyone else experienced this issue ,and do you have a remedy other than taking it to the dealer? It would be a round trip of over 200 miles for me to get to the closest Genesis dealer. I am probably going to wait until I have my first oil change to talk to the dealership about this, but this is VERY annoying considering I just bought this car a couple of months ago. Thanks for any replies

Make sure the mirror adjust is in the CENTER position. Also see these instructions

Thanks for your reply. I figured out what was wrong. I had accidentally pushed a button on the mirrors control when I was cleaning the car this morning.

Don't understand what you did, since the mirror folding depends on settings on the infotainment, not on the door. The only thing you can do from the door is fold and unfold them 'manually', which is what I was going to suggest doing so you could test if something was really wrong. The mirror middle switch is for mirror REVERSE TILT, not fold, but maybe something changed in 2024. But at least that's the case for my '23. Glad it was nothing.

There is a button I pushed when I was cleaning the inside of the car near the mirrors control. It prevented the mirrors from folding in when the doors are locked, and out when the doors are unlocked. After another member of this forum recommended I check to see if I had done that. I pushed this button again, and everything is working fine now. Thanks for your response. I am still learning about the features of the car and hopefully I won't be in a panic mode when something doesn't work because of something I did.

It has to be the manual folding button then, no? I didn't know it could do that. If I press mine, the mirrors fold in (or out, if they're already in) immediately. Maybe you did it without the fob in range? I was curious what exactly you did, just to know ;). But I could play with my car later and find out. Take care.
