  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

yesterday after driving my Genesis to pickup a few things, I noticed that the seat wasn't adjusting correctly. So when I got home I tried to move it back and forth, it wouldn't work, but everything else worked fine. I guess a trip to the dealer then.

I've had mine lock up twice, fixed twice, only to have it lock up a 3rd time (see my post on this issue).

What year do you both have...
Did they check the fuse?
If you or they find the issue and fix please share on this thread.

Mine is a 2010. After getting checked they said the switch went bad. We will see

Mine also is a 2010. Both times the fuses were fine but they replaced the motor. This time involves the same motor that moves the seat forward and backward.

Same problem here. I have an 09'. This is the second visit to get it fixed. Waiting on a "switch". Other than this issue, I love the car.

I have the same problem. Mine is a 2010. The dealer replaced the switch and that did not fix the problem. Now they say is the motor.

I have a 2010. All 3 times they have "fixed" the problem, they cite a switch that runs the forward/backward motor. The 3rd fix was just completed.
I believe there is a more basic problem that may make it difficult to fix, e.g. design error, motor not strong enough, etc.

the car is scheduled for Friday.
