  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi everyone. I wanted to share an experience I had with my 2009 Genesis Sedan 4.6
One day, the power steering stopped working. Interestingly enough, the power steering came back the next day and continued to work for quite some time. Then it began to work on and off. Took it to a mechanic who, of course, suggested we replace the power steering pump.

My father did some research on the Korean forums regarding this issue and found out there is a common issue with the power steering electrical connector burning/shorting out. So we went ahead and purchased a pigtail connector from findpigtails.com, cut out the old connector then replaced it. Lo and behold, the power steering is working like a charm.

Should any of you have any issues with the power steering, you should check the condition of the power connector.

I have the same issue on my 2009 Genesis 4 door 4.6 motor. Can you share where this connection is found on the motor?
Thanks
