  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anyone else have trouble with their power steering going in and out. I’ve had this issue for about 4-5 months and it’s progressively gotten worse. I’m looking for a new pump but don’t want to spend $500 if anyone else has had the same issue and there’s a different fix

You'd probably be best off asking this in the 1st gen forum one more down. This is the 2nd gen side and we all have electric power steering ;)

Wrong forum, but the solution is the same for most cars with bad power steering pumps. Just buy a replacement power-steering pump.

I would try an aftermarket brand(if available) if the new OEM pump is too expensive. I would not go with a used power-steering pump unless you are selling the car soon. However, if you have the electric power steering pump then you have to be prepared to spend a few hundred dollars even for a used one.
