  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2012 RSpec 5.0. Two times now, when using the driver's switch, the windows go down, but not up. Other windows can go back up with their individual switch, but not the driver's side switch.

The driver's window wouldn't go back up. After trying a number of times, it went up. I am thinking and hoping that it's just the switch. I thought I would ask if anyone else has experienced this before trying to source one.

From the symptoms you are describing I would say 99.9% it is the switch. I recommend getting one (Hyundai/Mobis OEM) from amazon if you have prime, that way if it turns out that the switch doesn't fix it then its easy to send back. but from your description of the other windows working flawlessly with their switch as well as the drivers side window and switch cluster being the most used it is only logical that the switch has worn out. That particular switch cluster is used in nearly every Hyundai made in these years with the only real variation being which windows had the auto up-down feature, and occasionally the mirror controls.
The other thing to attempt before ordering a new switch is the window learn/ reset procedure.

Thank you very much for the info. I'll try the reset first.
Any chance you have a part number for the switch as well?
