  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi, second time for this problem on my 2013 Genesis. The drivers seat will suddenly not move backwards. If the wife moves the seat up, I'm done because the seat won't move back.

Same problem last year, just about this time of year for what difference that makes. Both times, front left seat motor was replaced. Car has about 42,000 miles on it. Right now, warranty looks after it, I'm wondering about down the road.

Any one else been having this problem?

Thanks, RonJ

My driver seat was programmed to slide back for easy exit by the previous owner. I reset that feature to NO I have no problem getting out of this car with the seat in my driver position. I felt that the many movements might wear out the motor. Just a thought.
