  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Anybody have any experience with purchasing the Hyundai Pre-paid maintenance (oil changes, tire rotation, etc.)? Began leasing process today and waiting for 2015 Genesis 3.8 RWD to arrive in a couple of weeks...

One of the finance offers with to buy pre-paid maintenance up front for $350 that will include all the synthetic oil changes, filters, wiper blades, tire rotations, etc. for the 36 mo term.

Good deal or a waste of money?

Those are dealer specific, unlike some auto manufacturers who have standard prices for such services at all dealers. You can look at the owner's manual for the required maintenance items and do the math. You would have to call your dealer to find out what the a la carte prices are for those maintenance items, if you don't go with the package.

I purchased that offer. It works for me because I dont have to worry about taking a brand new car to a mechanic that may not be so educated in the workings of a genesis. Also it comes out be be roughly 6 oil changes (7500 miles each) for 36 months on a lease since the mileage would be around 12k a year. That plan pays for itself after 5 oil changes and 2 tire rotations.

The routine maintenance services included in the plans do not require Genesis experts. As was also mentioned above, it may be only available at the selling dealer which can limit it's use. I would also read the fine print on how many oil changes, etc. can be redeemed and any reference to the products used. For dealers who offer these plans, many negotiate that in the sale when the final price has been beat to death.
