My current electrified GV70 lease ends on 05/2026 for so I decided to follow-up on the "Ronald, your lease is ending in 12 months" email from Genesis Finance.
I discovered that the list of items that they will charge you for is long and, in some cases vastly overpriced.
How about $1,000 for a missing EV Charging Cable and $500 for a missing Charging Cable Storage Case $500!
My previous Mazda and Subaru lease end procedures included what I think was around a $1,000 credit against which any "in excess of normal usage" charges were applied. I never incurred any out-of-pocket charges at those lease ends. There was no mention of such a credit on the Genesis lease end pages.
After only 16,000 miles, the OEM Michelin Primacy Tour A/S tires have only 1/4" of tread left which means to be safe, I will have to purchase new tires before this winter. No mention of a credit for for turning in a lease with near new tires. I'm curious about the experience anyone who has had a Genesis lease end and has not bought another Genesis.
