  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I priced out online through Consumer Reports Truecar estimate. For a 3.8 RWD Ultimate. Please tell me if I missed anything on the list that I checked off (other than wheel locks, or first aid kit, etc).
Ultra premium seat surfaces (WYB-2)
Option Group 2, 3, are checked but greyed out and 4 is checked and black.
Under that it lists greyed out and checked -NONRD0 radio, and also greyed out is -NONRD1.
Power Heated/Cooled Bucket Seats (-NONSTO) which I belive is the standard one checked and greyed out, and Power Heated and Cooled Front Bucket Seats (-NONST) which is the one I believe would come with the ultimate is checked and greyed out.
Standard paint (-PAINT) is checked in black and so is Option Group 01 (01-0).
The total came to just a few dollars under $50,000. This includes $950.00 Destination Fee. The Truecar estimate came to just under $45,000 with the added "Regional Ad Fees" of $390.00 included. Not sure about how legit the Ad fee is (on the Marooney sticker in California). I realize there is a documentation charge, license, and sales tax to add to the total. Did I miss anything? Thanks

I apologize if I've misunderstood your question, but there are no options to select. 3.8 RWD Ultimate describes every non-dealer feature on the car. That being said, I have no idea about the quirks of the pricing guide you're looking at not matching up to the Hyundai offerings -- perhaps that's why things are graying out?

Just under $50k would be the correct retail pricing for a 3.8 ultimate if that info is helpful. $45k may be $1k or so too optimistic depending on local market based on my experience back in May, but the pricing thread would be a better place to get a feel for that.

Thank you. Your input helps. The list was a little confusing for me, but that was the list after I checked off what I thought would be the Ultimate. Sorry for the confusion, it may be just the way Truecar spits out the list.
I see Hyundai is advertising "Black Friday Sale". Does that really mean anything?

If I remember right, I was able to get mine down to $47k before taxes. That was for a black RWD Ultimate, Wheel locks, first aid kit, winter mats, rear bumper scratch film, 3m door edge film and the upgraded 10years /100k miles bumper to bumper warranty.

My Monroney sticker shows a price of $50,300 That includes:

freight and handling $950
cargo tray $100
first aid kit $30
rear bumper protector $70
mud flaps $95
wheel locks $55

I live in California and my Monroney sticker does NOT show any regional ad fees. If you can buy this car for under $45K that is definitely a good deal. I paid $45,400 which is a good price. I was able to take advantage of a $1000 rebate bringing my price down to $44,400 before tax and license fees. If you want to buy the car you should buy it at the Truecar price you mentioned.

LA Genesis-thank you for the information. Did the subject of regional ad charges come up when purchasing? Strange that Truecar shows it as a charge.
If I may ask how much was your OTD price including tax, docs, etc? Has your mileage improved with your breaking in the car?

My dealer tells me that Hyundai gives a $500 discount to former military. I got it only after giving proof of an honorable discharge. Has anyone else heard of this?

I have.

Check out the Boost-up program. it gives you $500 additional off of any Hyundai. But, you have to setup the account 30 days or more prior to purchase.

Yes, always ask if a Veteran's discount is available (anywhere). You served, you should get it if offered. I finally got around to getting a veteran's-marked driver's license (you can't very well carry your DD-214 around with you everywhere).

I also got the 2015 RWD Ultimate. Window sticker 50,205. Negotiated to 44,550 before trade in.

Edit: the $50,205 included the below extras (wanted or not):
$100 Cargo Tray
$30 First Aid Kit
$70 Rear Bumper Protector
$55 Wheel Locks

And let's not forget our favorite $950 Inland freight and Handling fee ;-)

Thanks once again Flyswatter. I actually found and printed a copy of my DD214!
Anybody have hassles with dealers attempting to stick on after market junk with insane markups. I was reading something on Yelp claiming when they came in with a Truecar certificate that they had an add on of $400 for nitro filled tires??!! They said there was not a car on the lot with just air in it. I know when I have purchased tires at Costco they do not charge for nitro.
