  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everybody:
I have a 2014 genesis coupe 2.0T R-spec. Today I bought a shift knob that has M10x1.25 thread pitch, and I tried to replace my stock shift knob with the one I bought. But there was a problem I encountered when I took off the stock shift knob. Below is a picture.

Can you guys please help me out with finding out what I can do to use the new shift knob I bought?

2013 and up have press fit shift knobs you’ll have to buy aftermarket assembly to screw on a knob or just buy one that’s a press fit

I just replaced the shift knob on my 2015 on Monday, I ordered my new weighted shift knob from Billetworkz and it came with the adapter to screw the new one on.
