  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Recently, I have discovered that some of the pages that contain ads on this are redirecting my browser away form this site This only occurs on this site. I am a Mac user so there are not many viruses out there to infect me. This seems to be malicious code contained within the ad itself. If my mouse passes over them, it seems to load. If I do not visit this site, I am fine. As soon as I go to a page that has these ads (some for searching etc) it is back again. I regularly use the Today's Posts link and this seems to be a big culprit. Just thought I would let you know.

Anyone else experiencing this?

I've noticed this too. It's very frustrating.

Sometimes I have to close my browser because it keeps redirecting me.

This is definitely a problem that should be addressed ASAP. It definitely has to do with the ads posted on the Today's Posts link. It is very frustrating. I hope that the Web Master addresses this soon. A U Searcher seems to be a culprit.

Same here.. driving me crazzzzzy. Thought it was just me but glad to know its not a virus or something.

I had the same problem until I became a site sponsor, since the change now when I go to the main page I get a not authorized warning.

Same problem here.

Same problem here:(

Like it or not, this is malicious software. I am hoping that the moderators are noting this thread. One should not have to be at risk to visit this forum. This behavior has only started recently. That the site owners would allow such malicious software to be posted here simply to annoy its members is beyond my understanding. I am assuming that they are not aware of it. It is a bit alarming that one member posts that this was happening to him until he forked over some cash.

I see the ads, but I don't get redirected to another page unless I click on the ad.

There's one banner ad that's doing this. We're disabling it...

And as already mentioned, the reason Supporting Members don't experience this is because they don't see any "network" advertisements.

P.S. Please post topics unrelated to the Hyundai Genesis in The Lounge... Thank you...

This is the page I get when I go to the main page now, since becoming a supporter.

wallymn, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

This is posted on the main www.genesisowners.com url
