  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've tried everything I can think of to successfully pair an iPhone 6 to my Genny. It did pair and would make outgoing calls but couldn't accept incoming. I tried on my 2010 4Runner and that one pairs but says "no signal".

Anyone having any success or do I just have to wait for iOS8.1?

My 6 paired right away and have been using it with no issues. Maybe try a restore?

Be sure that Airplane Mode is turned off on the iPhone.

Then try this:

Un-pair the connection between car and iPhone. Turn the iPhone off using the button on the top. Next, turn on the iPhone. Then re-pair with the car.

Thanx, but I tried that and probably ten other scenarios, but I'm ready to try again as soon as my wife brings it back. I did get the 4Runner properly paired after another several attempts. Telling each device to forget the other helps, but doesn't seem to be the complete answer.

Don't rule out an issue with your phone. Apple is already sending my dad a new 6+ because of BT issues. Different car, but unusual symptoms. I suspect defects with iOS 8 and restores from backups. Apple could not explain it, so they are sending a replacement.

Try this... Wipe the phone and then set it up as a new device. Then pair it and see if it is ok. That should start it out cleanly and take the ios 8 issues off the table.

I had a minor issue with pairing my iPhone 6 since I had set it up as a restore of my previous phone. After deleting the phone as a remembered device from the car it then paired normally.

I walked out to the garage, paired it in no time. I didn't do anything I hadn't tried before, but this time it all worked! Thanx all for all of the suggestions.

I can't get mine to pair at all. My IPhone 6 does not even see the Genesis BT. Any other suggestions?

I was able to get it to pair. On the car press "Phone" then "Settings" then "Advanced Settings" then "Restore Factory Settings". After that my iPhone was able to see the BT. And then I was able to pair it.
