Production of Vehicle G80

Have received the VIN for our vehicle. What does that tell me? Does it mean car is in production or has it been built.
Have never bought a vehicle using the Genesis method so have lots of questions. Have been told it should arrive in
Halifax, Nova Scotia by mid March.

When I was looking all it told me is that the car was real. It could be various stages of readiness and not necessary fully assembled. Did you get a divivery date?

Nothing yet beside a guess by our salesman, mid March

i put a deposit on a 2023 g80 sport plus in Aug 2022. As of Jan 26 2023 have not got a VIN or any meaningful update on delivery time. Response from dealer is "i will keep you updated" which does not happen unless i contact them first.

That sucks. I went shipping for a GV70 but all I could do was get one that was comming in. They wanted a non refundable deposit of two thousand dollars. They said the car would be there in a month, and I asked if it took longer than a month could I cancel and they said no. I then asked if I was still waiting 3 months from now, could I get my money back then? they said no again. So I went to another dealer where they had a GV80 that I ended up buying. But I am real happy about the increase in size.

I went to look at GV80s but my Hyundia dealership did not have any. Then they told me they were getting one in at the end of the month, and it was actually in the exterior color and trim that I wanted. Interior was black and I was looking to go lighter, but I went ahead and put a $500.00 refundable deposit on it. Two weeks later they called me and said it had come in. Also found out it was a 2023 instead of the 2022. Next thing I know, I was the proud new owner of a 2023 2.5T GV80 in Himalayan Gray with a black interior. Could not be happier with it.
