  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Programming 2013 Genesis new key fob

I have a 2012, but I'm guessing it's roughly the same.

1. It has to be a new key fob that has never been programmed, they can't be reprogrammed from a different car.
2. It has to be for the right country, as they use a different frequency in Korea or etc.
3. You will need the other key fob you're using during programming.
4. Only 2 key fobs can be programmed at any one time, so the old one that is lost wherever will be deleted to make room for the new one.

The dealership wanted like 500 bucks to program a new fob, so I asked around and found a great automotive locksmith in my area (Houston). Not only did he have the key fob in stock, he knew exactly how to program it, and even had the laser cutter equipment to cut the special key. I gladly paid him $180 for all of this.

If you hire a well trained and experienced locksmith for any type of locking issue. They will fix your problem by using the best equipment and tools. They also take less money than the dealers for their service. I always call locksmith denton tx, if I have lost my key or have any issue related to the locking system.

Recently I lost my car keys in a drain. I had a spare key but it was not working . So I went to a locksmith mabelton in order to program a new key fob. Finally, my keys are working properly.

If the dealership wants 500 bucks then contact a locksmith they can made it at 300 bucks.
