I just confirmed that you can ONLY "order" what is configurable online with the tool. So no special orders.

Next...they will NOT go to S.Korea if your configurable spec does not exist. You just have to wait it out...as cars are churned out and arrive in the USA.

Lastly...as of last Tue...Genesis is now requiring a purchase order from the dealer to put in an "order". Dealers are fighting with Genesis because of 2 reasons...

1. Purchase order needs a VIN. Well...they obviously don't have it yet.​

2. If someone is leasing...how can a price be given to them when incentives/MF/RV change month to month. Obviously a cash buyer is fine.​

So once again...f'ing Genesis Corporate not thinking and pulling shit on these poor dealers.

Does this include debadging if I order a model from SK? I was thinking about asking if I could get the HTrac badge and maybe the others removed but wasn't sure if was worth asking because it seems like too much of a stretch

To the Op - really nice! Love that colour of Blue, and yeah, you’ll be one of the only ones in NS for a while! We haven’t gotten a lot of snow yet here in Toronto, but so far the car handles beautifully in the winter.

So, how did it handle after that last winter storm? Curious to know if the xDrive/HTRAC worked out well.

I took the HTRAC badge off of mine myself - took less than 2 minutes with nothing but my fingers and a hair dryer ...

Nothing that I wasn’t able to simply rub off with my finger.

I also got a polish/swirl remover to go over it after, to get rid of the ghosting you might see after taking them off. I used a blow dryer and a soft piece of thread out of my sewing kit along with some finger elbow grease to get rid of the glue residue, took 30 mins total

I am planning to lease my car so I am not sure if they are okay with that. I will probably contact them in the next few days to confirm.

It’s fine...just keep the lettering, etc and replace when lease is over.

That will be a challenge since I am planing on keeping the car for 5 years on lease. Will probably be the same issue with me switching put the reverse light to LEDs.

How is that a challenge? You can do anything to the car...just return to stock after 5 years.

Except for chipping/tuning the engine. Don’t let them see that.

I meant it was a challenge to keep all the stock parts. I'll probably have to order a new badge and bulbs but that isn't too bad

Just throw it into your glove compartment or into the pockets behind the front seats.
