I own a 2009 V6 Genesis sedan. Often my key fob will not function and it will be necessary for me to use the embedded key to open the door and insert the fob into the dashboard slot to start the car.
After some time elapses, the "brain" appears to wake up and the fob functions perfectly. I have this problem with both fobs. I have no 'weak battery' indication on the dashboard and only have 16k miles on the car so the fobs have not had much use to wear down the batteries.
Does anybody know of a software fix or other solution for the proximity key fob problem?
