Guys,
I want to thank each one of you for your support so far!
I pulled the trigger yesterday and bought 2015 genesis 5.0 base, empire state gray/black. Stickered at $52.5k, sell price of $38.5k. This deal is similar to what other have got in this forum.

However the radio in the car is not working. The dealer said that it is due to the car being in the showroom for a long time and the battery was disconnected. They said that it is as simple as programming the code and that i can get it done at any local dealer. Has anyone seen this issue? The local dealer could not fix it via simple diagnosing like resetting the radio and unplugging battery. I have to go see the dealer again. It is rather disappointing that i cannot enjoy the sound system

Regards to your radio, you didn't turn it on during your test drive? Did you do a test drive? Did you play with any other electronics? Like sunroof, power seats, etc? I have not heard of this issue.

Thanks! I test drove it and it did not work at that time. The dealer tried to fix it but their service department was closed. I was told that any local dealer can solve the issue and that solution is most likely trivial as the mileage was only 15 miles and that it is still under warranty.

I already bought it because i was out in a different city.

Then I guess you'll just have to hope your local dealer can fix it - but it's under warranty anyway so worst case scenario is it has to be replaced.
