  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
    If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Finally pulled the trigger yesterday and got the Titanium/Black 3.6 Tech. Couldn't be happier, love it already (even took the long way home from the dealer just to get to drive a bit extra). Just wanted to say thanks to everyone who has posted the tons of useful information that helped me make thie decision. Thanks especially to those who answered some of my specific questions. Will post details about price paid and dealer in the appropriate threads (dealer was Fitzgerald and they were great). Also FYI for anyone on the fence, my dealer told me that they are motivated to move the Genisis because evidently volume and customer satisfaction are going to drive who gets to carry the Equus. Thanks again.

Hey, good for you and enjoy that ride! I enjoy mine.

I found your comment about the Equus interesting. Hyundai is going to be selective about dealerships that qualify.

I talked with Fitzgerald and liked them, but I finally bought from Ourisman because they had the car I wanted, the price was better, and it's a lot closer to where I live and work. Great car, in any case - I have no regrets whatever (but I am getting the windshield pitting that others have mentioned here. Not sure what I'm going to to about it, but will bring it up with service the next time I have it in).

Enjoy! .:D

Yeah one of the Hyundai dealerships banks with us and they told me the same thing. Hyundai is selecting few dealerships to carry the Equus. They are really looking for the customer service surveys and sales number of Genesis.

I thought it was interesting.

Congrats on the new ride. The Fitzmall prices seem competitive. How much of a discount were you able to get at Ourisman? What was the price you paid?

Akin - if you're asking me, I got a 2010 3.8 with premium and nav (no tech) for $34,500 including tax and tags. I turned down all of the aftermarket junk (extended warrantly, undercoating, paint protection, other worthless 100% profit items);

I am looking for a 2011 Premium / Nav (NOT the Tech model). In either Black or White with Cashmere interior. I have looked at the Fitzmall site and inventory at local deal sites in the NYC/NJ metro area and it seems no one has inventory of Premium/Nav models.

What was the selling price you paid (before tax and tags)?

Thanks,

congrats on your decision!!!
