If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Purchase Details so we all can prosper!

For myself with a "800+ FICO" and finding out- hey CA- take a hike- no low fees for you- but I guess when you think about it- even though they know we will buy the most cars- we are trapped- they know it- so why should Hyundai take a loss and give us low finance rates- so in a way MAKES SENSE.

I would never think of doing that- but you never know I might- NM is a nice place- was stationed in Albuquerque for about 18months when I was in the USAF- I was there I think Jan 1979 to June 1980.

But man one of the first times I ate Mexican food there I was on fire- I am so use to Taco Bell- one air force buddie (Jimbo a diehard a good Mexican) said hey Ken.. let's
go to a mexican fast food place I know of- I said sure- tired of Big Macs- we ordered tacos- he ordered whatever they called- HOT- I ordered the mildest possible- so when I took the first bite- I was on fire!

LoL, real mexican food > Taco Bell :p. So maybe you should start searching for a good deal in NM and plan a trip, I am considering it.

When I bought my car, I was actually considering another BMW 5 series because of their .9% interest rates. The final payout probably would come out close after 5 years of paying interests.

Can you pl. tell me how you got 1.9% finance as I also have excellent credit rating but no one is willing to go below 5.5-6% now-a-days.

MVD

milanmvd,

Be sure to post pics of your car. I'm interested in seeing that combo (blue with black interior).

back to NM...

and the freakin' but i should say was very tasty mexican food...

another time i went to a restaurant on central avenue called i think the "Ore House" something like that- again ordered a mexican meal- and dumb filipino i am- i have no idea but i ordered as a drink- coffee-after about 5 mins max of eating my meal- i was sweating profusing- sweat coming down my forehead messing up my glasses- and what do i have to quench my thirst- hot coffee

I'm considering driving to Oklahoma just to purchase and finance a Genesis. If I can get a 0.9% interest rate for 48 months, I'd be wise to invest my cash elsewhere. I'm in the top 10% of FICO score (806), so qualification shouldn't be a problem. Now if they would just get some V8's in this part of the country!

even though some V8's are here in SoCal- most the of dealers keep saying October or later

The October date is a bummer because the financing offer is only until September 30th!

This is what I received the other day from one of my dealer contacts in the LA Area-

Ken,

Soory, not as of yet. We do not expect any in until October or November. I will be sure to call you as soon as we get them in.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
thanks way...

i know a few SoCal dealers have them coming in and yes i was aware garden grove had some on their lot.. thanks

As I mentioned in the V8 thread yesterday, Roseville Hyundai has about 10 V8's (tech and non-tech) on the lot. Amazing ride. Not advocating one dealership over another, just FYI.

The finance offer repeats every month or atleast the last 3 months it has remained the same for each state. Come October it will say the same thing only good till October 31, 2008.

Make the trip, dude! I did just that (but my 'trip' was only a couple of miles from my house)! I got the V6 for .9% APR for 48 mos....best finance deal I've EVER had!

Model V6Tech Cabernet/Cashmere

Buy/Lease Buy
Final Negotiated Price on Sales Invoice $37,363.00
Financed at 1.9%/60mos

Anyone who is looking for deals, the Houston area just got absolutely smacked by that hurricane. Needless to say people with no power or hot water (still a lot of us even 2 weeks later!) are not out buying cars, and the dealerships are very hungry to move inventory right now as they've basically been shut down for half the month. Plus Texas has the low APR financing incentive. So, there are Genesises (Genesi?) to be had for the plucking down here if you want to make the trip. Happy hunting.

I bought the same car two months ago for $39,500 with 4.49% financing.

Congratulations.

that is a shame kbmuenkel...

but at least you are not one of the shameless buyers who actually pay MSRP or higher...

i do not care what car it is- i will never and have never paid MSRP...

because if you really think hard about it- why- would you ever consider doing that- when you sell it or trade it later on in its car life- when a dealer looks at his NADA book, etc.- is there a column for MSRP+ column- i don't think so.

Another thought...

I guess the Hyundai Dealers are having some pains selling some of these cars- I just received an email from a local GSM and even though that dealership offerred to sell
my any 2009 Genesis V6 or V8 Tech Package for a really low price- Into Holdback-
at the time they were making maybe $100.00 total- now he will sell me one off his lot
for basically- Actual Dealer Invoice minus the 2% Holdback- and I am still not quick to
the deal- and really it would be Actual Dealer Invoice minus the 2% Holdback minus
$500 Genesis Coupon.

Fair enough. However, the timing of my purchase was driven more by the sale of my previous car than it was for the Genesis. I owned a 2004 Toyota Prius with 81k miles on it. I had a ready and willing buyer who paid $17k cash for the Prius. Considering I paid $23k out the door 4.5 years before, the residual value was absurd. I grabbed the opportunity knowing it put me in a weaker position to negotiate for my Genesis.

In July, my dealer only had 1 V6 Tech available. It was their first Genesis on the lot with the Tech Package. Beyond the $39,500 price, I was able to get 4 free oil changes AND they agreed to take my Prius in as a trade for $17k and turn around and sell it to my buyer for the same price. This "courtesy trade" saved me $1,020 in sales tax. So all in all, I think I did just fine and have no regrets. :)
