  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’ve been looking around for a quality plain license plate frame and was wondering if anybody else has had luck. I purchased one set of stainless steel frames but the back edges of the frames were sharp and I was afraid that on the rear plate because it touches the body it would scratch. Anybody solve this problem?

Get a tag attachment / bolt kit at Autozone. It comes with tamper proof screws and rubber bushings to keep the frame away from the paint. I installed larger bushings in back of the bottom two holes of the tag and frame and thus no scratches.

Take a look at the Weather Tech site. I purchase a nice set of plain black frames but they also have clear, chrome, etc.

Well I started by deburring the frames and then put a piece of 3/8" black sintra on the back. I drilled the two holes to hold it in place and then got a couple of pieces of female velcro and put it on the sintra. Worked great in keeping the frame off the body. Thanks for the suggestions.
