Question on Max A/C setting

any of you coupe owners notice that sometimes max a/c is too high (cold) but one notch down is like the a/c if off. I want to get experience input because I may have an issue.

I got feedback on another forum and when you start off in max a/c and then move one notch up the a/c actually goes off. One must hit the a/c button to keep the a/c from going off. Problem solved.
