  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Questions about rubber gasket around rear brake light

It should be covered by warranty 100%. The part is around $200 and there are a few slightly different part numbers. I'm trying to find a DIY instruction to replace it. Looks like the rear of the headliner must be removed. trying to mickey mouse it with black tape is just wrong.
Black tape on such a nice car is so wrong!+

i have the similar problem . do you know what is it called?

My rear brake light gasket/seal just decided to fall out last week - I have an extended warranty, but from what i have read, they will not cover it. Is this terribly expensive at the dealership or is it something I might be able to do myself? I also need a driver side rubber window/door seal, any thoughts on replacing that?
Just went over 86K miles on my 2015 and still loving driving it every day

You just need to get a new 3rd light assembly and install it. They're $120. Don't go to Ebay as they're all already messed up, go here instead.
Go here for install directions. Reply #16.

It's easy to install yourself. I don't know about the door seal, however
