  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking in your G70 Owners Manual, how many litres of gasoline does it hold? (KIA Stinger holds 15.9 US Gallons - I can convert).

To anyone. What does "Twin Scroll" mean when talking about the 2.0 Turbo? Does that mean?

It is the same size as the Stinger's.

The cliff notes version. It means that there are two exhaust inlets (each with their own nozzle) running into the hot side of the turbo . One is designed to help spool up the turbo faster when there is less exhaust flow. Once the exhaust is flowing at a sufficient rate then the second exhaust pathway opens to give max flow/ performance. It is a way to combat turbo lag.

Tank is 60 L, or 15.9 Gal.

Twin-scroll was answered above. This is a useful tool for single-turbo setups like the 2.0T. The 3.3T uses single-scroll turbos because the turbines are smaller (one feeds each bank of 3 cylinders) and thus lag is less of an issue.

Thank you. Now I understand.

BTW: A few months ago, I was at a Kia dealer, and while looking at a 2.0T, the salesperson told me , "this car has twin turbos". I told him no, it has a single Twin Scroll Turbo, but did not know what twin scroll meant.
