  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hey folks, I am thinking of buying a Siberian Ice G70. How bad is the glare off the hood when driving?

No glare. There’s no metallic in the paint.

Thanks. I'm heavily leaning towards SI, but black cars are always gorgeous (but common).

Agreed, no glare at all.

I have no glare issues at all. You can't go wrong with this color! You will enjoy how cool it looks in different lighting situations. I constantly have people commenting about the color

No glare. People DO comment on the color a lot. My car does get dirty after fresh/new rain

I ended up buying one, so I can chime in, yeah they do get dirty quickly. A surprising amount of insect protein tends to accumulate around the side mirrors. Lots of road-grime as well around and above the front lights as well.

Digging up a (kinda) old thread... Just bought a Siberian Ice partially BECAUSE I thought it would stay clean-looking longer. They had a Havana Red, and a white one also, but chose SI over red because 1) I love the color, it's so unique 2) I thought it would be better for dirt/dust. Sounds like I might have been mistaken. Oh well!

Hmmm...I have no issue keeping it clean. I would say it retains a cleaner look that a white metallic paint. SI is non metallic so it doesn't have to be continuously "buffed" to look great. Hope that makes sense.

Yes absolutely, makes sense to me. That's one thing I loved about the color. I'd been admiring the flat grey color I've been seeing on some Audi's recently, and this reminded me of a lighter version of that. Good to hear about keeping it clean. Ours will live in a garage and isn't a daily, so I'm sure it will be fine.
