  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Members,
I have been reaching out like most of you trying to find a company to tune my recently acquired Genesis R-Spec 5.0 sedan. I found bloodtyperacing.com and they are interested in helping as long as we can get enough to support the R&D. they only asked i start the thread and we get as many to follow to show interest. Here is the work they have done on the coupe.

Lets get this rolling! Maybe they will make a CAI as well.

BTRcc is a legit company, if they can get some tuning done for the v8 that would be amazing. They have had amazing results with both the 2.0T and the 3.8 (gdi and non gdi) I know some of them pretty well, I will send and email.

If i can squeeze out a few more HP and ft/lbs I am interested

Count me in.

If they can tweak the shifting performance and traction control.

any HP increases are a bonus.

Please add me to the list.

Depends on the types of gains that can be had.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
In my ride, specs says 0-60 in just over 5 sec but it seems awfully slow as compared to my tuned Genesis Coupe.
That said I'm in for anything that improves throttle response. i.e.tune, sri etc.

any thoughts to retuning the transmission? I think there is a ton of hp in the engine already, but if it could be delivered more aggressively, I think that would satisfy a lot of us

I know with the Genesis Coupe even after 4 years, I don't believe anyone has cracked the transmission control of shift points etc.

Suggest you keep it simple. Focus on leaning out the pig-rich OEM mixture on wide open throttle (open loop). Don't bother with trying to change closed loop mixtures as the ECU will keep them at 14.7 for emissions (and gas mileage).

As for transmission shift points, dream on. The transmission has its own ECU for which the factory downloads a program. Your friendly dealer has this program which is employed to set up a transmission after install or major repair.
My personal experience with transmission warranty replacement is that the programming details of this transmission is a mystery to dealerships. They just plug it in and let it load. It they cannot load the software as it happened in my case, then they replace the entire transmission.

keep it up gentleman. They are watching closely. we need them to make us a CAI as well. spread this everywhere you can.

Interested in a tune as well.

Also would like to see a true CAI/ram air. Not the current tube under the hood that everyone calls a CAI. ;)

I said this before... the biggest problem you'll have getting a filter into that lower passenger is the EHPS pump is bolted in below the airbox. That poses quite a bit of a challenge.

As for the tune - improve AFR's and tune for pump gas would be great. Just not sure when / if it may come to market.

im in for a tune or to kill the traction control nanny. allow the engines power to get to the wheels. i heard the fuse pull and replace only leaves a single smoking stripe.
