In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

R1 Concepts Inc. is proud to offer Premium Hyundai Genesis rotors!
I am offering the Premium series rotors which are made with stronger iron cast metal (G3500) for overall tension strength. The Premium series rotors which is the top of the line series out of the two that I carry (E-lines & Premiums). The rotors are cast with a 50/50 center split for better heat distribution. Premium utilize a black Electro-coating finish applied on the hubs and inner vane structures providing long lasting corrosion protection.

Here at R1, we take many precautions in drilling rotors. We drill with smaller diameter holes and counter sink each hole. You can also go with just slotted only or whatever design you wish. This will also give you the benefits of the stopping power you need having a modified performance rotor. When ordered with slots, every R1 rotor will come with our exclusive Diamond Slot design (45 degree angle end points), to help release trapped debris. Also a good indicator for rotor wear life.

I can vouch for these awesome rotors as I have a set on My Mercedes SL which I purchased from R1. Very nice product.

Thanks! Im glad your liking your set. Let me know when you need another for the Genesis :welcome:

What advantage do these have over what is installed in my 4.6?
I can appreciate the cooling aspect of the drilled rotors, what about the rest?
Thanks!

Yes the drilled rotors will give better cooling performance. The slots are there to give you the extra bite off the pads. The slots are meant to keep the dust off the pads and on the rotors themselves.
Other benefits of our rotors are that they have an iron casting grade of G3500. Most stock cars are using a lower grade of G3000. So our rotors are harder compound to help them last longer.
Also we have the Black E-coating on the rotor hub and outer vane to help prevent it from rusting. The picture above shows the black coating.

If you need any other info let me know!

Yatzee!!!! I'm all in once my rotors are shot. Another benefit, is that these rotors aren't that much more then the factory rotors from the dealer.

I'm all in for sure!:D

No we have very competitive pricing for the forums. Let me know when you need them!

I just switched, OK it was awhile back, to a set of these on my 323F. Got 75k out of c/s brembos with Hawk HPS pads. Now running R1 rotors, Lomandi kevlar metallic pads, Goodridge ss lines. So far, the performance is equal to the stellarness of the brembo/hawk setup but is superior as far as the dusting. My car doesn't see the same usage since getting the Tacoma for daily driving so these rotors should last for many years but I digress, blah blah blah yata yata yata. Only 200 miles on the G coupe so I'll be keeping these in mind if the wife ever wears them out.

Sounds great! Just keep us in mind when you need them for the Coupe. We do have the SS lines for the Coupe as well. Stoptechs SS lines. If you ever wanted to change those out too let us know!!

Yeah I couldn't hold out anymore:) Order placed for front rotors and black caliper paint to match the front calipers!

I'm excited:D

Pretty damn good price, IMO. Front slotted and drilled rotors, caliper paint, and shipping $249.

With the 4.6 having the 4 piston calipers, how does this improve braking?
I know the holes help cooling, and the slots help to remove the dust..... I'm just trying to understand what improvements I may realize over the stock parts.
I live down a (dusty) gravel-type road, and wonder if these rotors will actually help with the dustiness etc
I know that on my bike (traveled this road for 10 years) I heard the dust just scratching away on the rotors. ......

Yes the Genesis got hefty brakes. The slots in the rotors are meant to rub off brake dust off the pads. So if you have slots it should help clear some of the dust off the rotor and pads. The holes are meant to help cool and help release brake gases. But in you case the holes can help remove dust. When the pad goes through the rotors it sweep the dust and make them fall out of the holes. Not only is the slots and holes going to help improve braking, the rotors themselves are stronger metal grade then the stock rotors.

I don't know why but I've never had a spec of brake dust in 14,000 miles even with oem brakes!

Ceramic pads the dealers include don't dust up very much because they are not high performance pads. If you wash you car every other week it will be hard to see the dust. But I assure you they do create dust. Your pads wear down, so bits of those has to go somewhere....

The holes in the rotor are an escape route for the gas that is formed upon braking. Basically, when you press the brake, a gas forms between the pad and rotor reducing the stopping power and taking longer distances to stop. Get rid of the gas that forms under braking, will keep the rotors cooler and also reduce stopping distance, and of course brake fade will almost not exist.

Just curious. There's no Genny on the R1 website when you "drill down" through the make/model/year/specs. Is this special order, or will the website be updated soon?

Yes currently we are in the process in getting website updated. The part for the car is so new we have not got a chance to update anything. That part number isn't even in my parts book! Hope we can get everything up and running soon. If you have any questions just let me know and I will be more then happy to answer them for you. Thanks!
