Has anyone considered mounting the plastic radar shield behind the grill instead of on the front where it is installed from factory?

Behind the grill I'd be more concerned about it holding crud and negating it. Leaved, bugs, snow,

Just a WAG, but I imagine the Genesis engineers have tried a different approach.

Good point, not the most visually pleasing design. I painted my grill and it doesn't show the beauty of that grill with a plastic piece on the front

Have you looked behind the "shield" on your car? There's no grill behind it. The plastic piece has what looks like the grill painted on it. It's because the radar would not pass correctly through the grill if it were there.
