  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2009 3.8 Genesis with the Premium package. I don't have a DIS and I can't find any way to adjust the bass and treble on my radio nor can I find a way to adjust the speakers. Do these options exist on the Genesis?

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
I don't know about the 09, but in the 2010 3.8 w/premium and nav (no DIS) there is a button labeled "Sound" at the bottom right of the AM/FM screen. Touch Sound and you get a display where you can set balance, fade, treble/mid/bass, etc.

Thanks DG, I found it on the tuning knob in the '09. One last question on the radio. I don't receive the name of the song, artist, etc. Is there a switch to turn on this function or does the Genesis not receive those signals?

I don't know about that - I never listen to broadcast music so I haven't tried it. I have a 16GB thumb drive with all of my music - I just use the radio for NPR and news

Information is displayed for XM and HD radio, but not for the standard AM/FM. There's a menu you can access via the tuning knob that allows you to select whether the channel description or the song/artist is displayed for XM.

Once you make the changes to bass, treble, rear etc. how do you "save" the adjustments/ Manuel was unclear to me.

You don't have to do anything. It will save the settings automatically and the adjustment screen will disappear.
