  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Can anyone tell me where the rain sensors are located for the windshield wipers? I am having a problem where the wipers will just shut off in the middle of of a rain storm while driving down the road. They will stay off for minutes at a time them come back on. Sometimes barely working then other times very erratic. I am hoping that the sensors are a little dirty and need some cleaning. Thanks...

I believe the sensor is located above the rear view mirror. It probably does need some cleaning. Or perhaps it needs replacing. It's sure not operating properly if it's failing in the middle of a storm...

You might actually have a mechanical problem. My 2011 Genesis had an issue where I was in a rain storm and the blades would stop, start and stop again. Eventually they just failed all together. Took it to the dealer and found it was the motor itself that failed.
