Rattling sound...

Hello. I have been hearing rattling noise but I don't know where it has come from...

Sometimes it's a simple thing. Twice I had rattles. The first time it was my sunglasses rattling around in the holder. The second and louder time ended up being the passenger seatbelt receptor on the side of the seat.

Did you figure out what it was? I’m having the same exact rattle sound.

I believe it could be the sun roof. If you do a search I believes there's a few threads investigating a noise like that from the sun roof.

I have the same noise myself and it seems to just occur on hot days.

Same noise here. It's a known issues that Genesis does not care to address. I've had my car in multiple times and they have yet to fix the issue.

I have had a rattling screen for years and they tried replacing it and 3 other times and it still rattles the same annoying sound of 2 plastics rubbing quickly.

Had the sunroof noise and it is after the car has been in the sun. They tried to fix it but it still does it so they said they will replace the sunroof.

I do not care if they put cardboard to stop the screen rattling as long as I do not see it put anything in there. It is better on normal roads but any bumps and it is maddening.

I had sunroof rattle on my new g70 on hot days. Based upon other recommendations, I wiped some Super Lube all around the frame of the sunroof when it was fully open - and when closed and tilted open. Knock on wood - all the rattling completely went away.

I also noticed my rear seats weren’t fully locked closed. Pushing them all the way back made the latches sit down fully and that may have fixed a slight rattle as well.

I had rattling in my 2019
There was a space underneath where some small gravel was able to get in. Itsounded like something sliding in the door

Check the passenger oh crap handle on headliner. Mine was a little loose.

My 2024 has the same issue - sounds like a knocking almost.

Pretty odd, we don’t use the sunroof. It seems to relate to how strong the wind is. Doesn’t happen on still days.

Happens only in hot weather as mentioned by posters above. Seems likely an expansion/contraction related thing.
