RDS Question

2012 Genny R-spec (w/tech) - RDS is showing the track title but not the artist when tuned to analog FM and HD2-FM.

Is it supposed to show artist?

My 2011 Santa Fe showed both (although it did not have a HD capability).

I've tried turning it on and off but it seems to affect the title only.

RDS can only display what the station transmits.

I listen to the same station most of the time. I have the seen the station transmit title, artist, and station ID on one song, and then nothing on the very next song. Sometimes the same station will only transmit the station call sign. I have seen this on my Genesis and my Chrysler.

Right. Understand that. Although I don't have my Santa Fe any longer, right up until the day I got rid of it, it displayed both title and artist from a particular station. Jumping in the Genny the next day the only display was title and that continues to this day. There is no artist info displayed no matter what station I am listening to.

It isn't a biggie, just something different between the two models and, of course, they do have entirely different audio systems.
