  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Real world mpg for 5.0 version

I live in the Snow Belt. AWD gives much better control in snow conditions, and it's more sure footed in everyday driving. That's enough reason for me.

Yes, some folks get AWD and drive like idiots.(Just like some folks with V-8 engines ;) ) Is that the majority? I don't know, and I have not seen the data.

It's pretty ridiculous to suggest that either of these choices are not valid for some drivers.

That sums up the entirety of the idiocy in this debate. All renditions represent a compromise of sorts - but that is the whole point of offering different models as they will better suit the preferences of buyers with different priorities. Categorically dismissing the validity any single model is pretty dumb. And I really only see one person doing that.
