Sorry for another thread on this subject. I could have tacked this on any of the other driveshaft threads (including one I started) but it probably wouldn't get the info I'm looking for.
My 2015 3.8 Ult. (bought Nov. '18, 38k mi.) started doing this around the 40k mark. One day it just popped up. I'm at 45k now and it doesn't seem to have gotten any worse. Like most, the chattering goes away after five miles or so and is forgotten about until the next day.
I've spent a lot of time researching this, including buying a used driveshaft with the plan of putting a new U-joint or flex discs in it. Found the flex discs but it turns out that the U-joint is next to impossible as the joint is non-standard size and is staked in (many manufacturers don't use circlips any more).
I'm now leaning towards leaving it as is as long as it doesn't get any noisier or the time extends.
Wondering if higher mileage cars continued to get worse noise/time wise and have they experienced any vibrations? I also see some who had the driveshaft replaced, the issue came back. Any comments on this would be appreciated.
