  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I'm wondering if anyone has tips on replacing the rear axle right side. My reluctor (tone ring) went, as I'm sure many have by now. I understand it's a full axle replacement and cannot seem to find good information on it online. It seems to just bolt up at the differential meaning I could just slide it out? I did find remove instructions for the whole rear end but that's leaving the axles attached.

Any advice from those experienced at this would be appreciated.

You can download the service manual here: Hyundai Genesis - Google Drive
Thanks very much for that link. I have it downloaded. It shows the exact same thing I saw at Hyundai Genesis DH Owners and Service manuals online. It only has instructions for removing the whole rear end and both axles as a piece. I'm sure it will be helpful but I know that shop costs for a single axle are 1.5 hr. What's listed there isn't a 1.5 hr. job. So I guess the questions still stands.
