  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

rear backup beeps when within how many feet of another car? Neighbor claims i almost hity him. I was not near him nor heard any beeps. At what distance would the back up alert beep?

I get it. I just got my 22 and i got pretty damn close to the car behind me before anything went off. I believe there is an adjustment under Setting/Vehicle that you can change it to be Earlier of a warning.

how close were you to him?

I suspect that it is around 1M. (about three feet)

I noticed this too. My 22 won't start beeping until I've practically run over the grandma walking behind me. Now I just go slow when I know I'm nearing an object.

I've gotten out of the car half dozen times with a tape ruler and 5 feet is a good guesstimate. Things to keep in mind: The car may have locked onto something you wouldn't have initially marked as being of concern.
