  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello All, first post on this forum. When listening to music louder or with bass, I get a evil rattle from one of the rear deck shelf speakers. I don't know what it could be. It sounds like a blown sub woofer (although I don't know if the Lexicon system had a build in sub woofer). Any advice would be appreciated!

I have a 2009 Genesis Sedan with the Lexicon sound system.

is your rear sunshade up or down or does that make a difference? Because on mine if the sunshade is down on certain songs I can hear a rattle but when it is up...no rattle

My Rear sunshade is always up, although I put it down today to see if it disappeared- it didn't. Maybe I should go about replacing the rear deck speakers? Don't know what to look for when taking those out.

The 17 speaker Lexicon definitely has a big woofer (some would call it a sub) at the top center of the rear deck.
