  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Has anybody found the rear seat cooling to be a little weak? While driving I reached back and put my hand in front of the rear seat vents - air was blowing at very high velocity and hot enough to burn. Turns out the control was turned to max heat - it turned it down to max cool and drove for ten minutes or so; when I checked the air was tepid and volume was much less than before, while the front vents were blowing frigid air like gangbusters. Has anybody else experienced this?

"B" Pillar vents open? My rear seat is fine. Even last Summer here in AZ

On my car, the rear seat CENTER cooling vent, like yours, is a little weak. The front and the two B Post vents (Air comes from the front, through the front doors) can be very cold, but the center vent will be not quite as cold. About all you can do is to make sure the center vent has the left wheel set all the way down to cold, and the right wheel set to full open (all the way up I think).

In addition, you said that your central control was turned to max heat. My central control would go to heat by itself, even after I had set it to full cold. Because I did not want to have the technician work on it, for fear it would become worse, I took the easy way out. I cut a small piece of cardboard (matchbook thickness) and jammed in between the left wheel and the housing, to keep it from vibrating to the warm position. Works for me.

I recently had visitors, and we all went out in my car. Had the A/C set to Automatic. The people in the back seat were COLD. I had to turn the right control wheel to off and the B Post vents also to off.

I didn't compare the B pillar vents - will do so tomorrow. Thanks for the info
