  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

My first post. I'm really digging my new 3.8. However, I've had an ongoing issue with the rear seat popping up on the left side. Has anyone had this issue? The dealer has replaced the connector, but the problem persists. Any input or advice would be appreciated.

First of all, welcome to the form and the Genesis club.

I own a 2011 3.8 and do not have any problems with the seats.

Would be interested in the finial conclusion though.

The dealer located the problem. There was a "module" under the seat that was not aligned correctly, causing the seat to pop up. Alignment corrected. Seat fixed. All is well with the world now. ;)

Thanks for the feedback on the solution to the problem.

Always interested in the solution to weird problems. You indicated that the dealer found a “module” not aligned property. I assume that the “module” was some kind of locking device that holds the seat in place.

the "module" hes referring to is the metal tab/railing that pops into the "connector". its pretty much the only thing that can be misaligned in a seat.
