Rear Window Won’t Go Down...

So I just recently noticed my rear driver window won’t go down. If tried toggling the master lock switch many times and the window won’t go down from the front switch, or the rear. Anyone run into this problem?

I also tried “resetting” the windows by the “pull up for at least a second” method, but that doesn’t make a lot of sense to me. It says close the window and hold for at least a second... well its already closed?? Which switch do you do it on?? Front or back?

Sounds to me like the regulator since neither switch works, but it’s hard to tell. Also not really sure how to tear down to replace either...

the first genesis i test drove had the same issue. The sales guy said it was possibly a fuse (not sure how true that might be), but try checking the fuses first. easy and simple way to eliminate at least one thing.

I have the same issue currently. There's another post about it here. What seems to be the prevailing consensus is the window "sticks", in that there's nothing really wrong with the window its just takes a while before it can be rolled down. It's happening on my two read windows. Eventual the sticking stops (after a few minutes) and they roll down. I state this not fully realizing whether this is actually the cause, but the fact that nothing happens then all of a sudden it works leads me to believe its this. If after a number of tries and at differnt times its still not coming down then yea, it might be something else like the fuse.

Same problem here after not touching the windows all summer. Stuck closed but a few persistent presses up and down got them moving again.

Had the same situation on my Buick a few years back. Accidentally hit the window button but it did not just stick but broke the regulator and then it would not stay up. Removed the door panel and propped the window glass up with a stick I notched. Months later did the same thing when I hit the button on the other rear door. Just made another stick.

Present car is 2 years old and back windows have never been down. Maybe I should keep a couple of sticks on hand "just in case"

Regular application of WD40 or a silicone grease should fix it.

I have the same problem with the driver side rear window looks like there’s a connection problem. I have a 15 G 5.0

I had the same problem, mentioned it when taking it in for an oil change. They reset something and said there was a service bulletin for the issue. This was on a 2015 3.8 AWD, maybe 2 years ago.

Had the driver side rear window problem. Reset worked temporarily, but then it stopped working again and reset did nothing. Dealer identified the issue as a bad regulator motor that would start working when tapped on. Replaced regulator and no further problems.
