Jesus, this does not give me a warm and gushy feeling about this car and all the quirks.
It's a hit or miss with cars. I've had 14 cars and this is my worst experience by far. It was bound to happen at some point but I'm glad it happened with a car that is under warranty.
things happen. doesn't mean it will affect every car made.
bad weld, bad crimp, loose wire, mashed wire, all things that can be overlooked during a build and result in what the OP is experiencing.
if it were a model wide problem you would hear a lot more people complaining. I would be willing to bet that somewhere in that harness something got pinched or mashed and it is a 1 off situation.
It's definitely a 1 off. It has nothing to do with Hyundai quality. I still love the car and I'm excited to get it back. Granted, first model years are never the way to go. Just look at the Stinger...
Oh, I get that but after dropping off my car 5 times for random stupid stuff its enough to lose some confidence.
I've lost confidence in the dealership, not HMA. They have replaced over $9k worth of parts plus how ever many man hours. I'm upset but, there's more in life to worry about. They gave me a loaner, I'm alright.
They are at least making great effort to fix it.
Lemon laws were enacted before Genesis existed for reasons such as this.
Very good effort indeed at no cost to me.
I'm glad to see they responded as they have for a small problem.
They have responded it a way that is expected from the customer in my opinion. Trading out 3 head units and 3 cameras was enough to warrant their next steps. Hopefully these engineers have the magic touch.
Never heard of such a thing but maybe the 7th time's the charm.
