Recall and Got a Free Nav Update

I had a recall for my brake light switch. So, I get to the dealer and they say two new service bulletins just popped-up for my car. New ECM (module or software?) and a nav system update. I had been contemplating paying for the nav update on my 2011 and got excited reading the forum as others received received cards in the mail for a free upgrade. Unfortunately nothing came in the mail so I'm a bit excited at the chance of getting the nav updated.

Now I have to search the forum to find out more about the ECM recall and what changes they are making there.

I got the ECM update and Nav update. All went well no problems. Had a free loaner for the day. Just got the brake light switch letter, though I have had no problem re the switch.

I walked into the dealer at 8am expecting a quick switch replacement. When they offered the ECM and nav system firmware and database update I thought of the hour and a half round trip drive and thought it best to just get it done as long as I was there. Little did I know that I would not be leaving until 2pm. In hind sight I would have taken a loaner and come back the following day. And... I don't notice anything different. I was hoping for some new functionality or maybe a new voice, but nothing.
