  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Was in dealership to replace a worn drivers-side body weatherstrip under warranty; and the dealer said my ECM would be reflashed under a recall to update a condition that manifests itself as a false reading of lean burn condition. I have not had a problem with this. It usually is indicated by a check engine light.

Whatever, you may wish to act on this recall. The reference on my invoice reads: "RECALL #TB9 BH ECM UPDATE-DTC PO456"
"CAUSE: 00C040R0 RECALL"

What's the build date of your car?

Also, how did the bad weatherstripping manifest itself? Did the car leak?

My build date was May 28, 2009.

The weatherstripping was worn at the point where my shoulder would roll against the door frame when exiting. I don't see the wear as a product defect. Rather, I need to lose some weight, and to make a more conventional exit.

My build date was 5/20/2009, so I guess mine falls under the affected VIN range?
I'll have to check with the dealer.
Thanks for the heads up.
