On a second try I was able to attach it to the console. Thank you!
Of course it is far from ideal, because with the phone attached (I have 6.7 inches phone) left side of the climate control panel is obscured and the cable cannot be detached, but for the lack of better alternative I guess it is good enough.
I'd love to see ProClip USA release custom phone holder for Genesis, but it does not seem to be coming primarily because they cannot get this car model to work on.

I have mine on the right side of the console. Panel blockage is only a problem for a passenger for the rare times they have to adjust the climate controls. PS: I have a 14 Pro Max, so it accommodates larger phones over there, too.
