  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have about 1500 music files that I want to record to Jukebox. I have no problem getting it to record and so far it's recorded about 1300 files but the process always takes longer than the time the system is on so I have to restart it next time I get it in the car. Has anyone figured out how to just record a smaller block of files so you can select a number that will be more likely to have time to finish? It seems that it tries to re-record everything every time I start it instead of picking up where it left off. Any ideas?

I load up a USB drive with somewhere between 100 and 150 songs each time. It probably takes 5 minutes to transfer them to the Jukebox. I currently have something over 1000 files transferred.

Yeah - my mistake was starting with a loaded stick. If I even knew what hadn't recorded yet I could just delete the others from my stick and continue but I can't find any way to find out what's already finished recording.

I was wondering if there is anyway to DL music from IPOD to jukebox. I would assume no, but I thought I would give it a shot.

thanks in advance

Unless I missed something it will only record from a USB stick or maybe it just wants to see MP3s. I've only tried a stick - maybe MP3s from an iPod would work?

Put your Music in different folders on your Stick.
Then you can transfer one folder at the time

I may try that. I previously moved everything out of folders because folders slowed down the player in my 2010 4Runner but maybe there's enough processing power in this system to avoid the search and play delays.

I had a 2011 3.6 Genny Coupe before and I have about 3500 songs on a USB stick. It would take up to a minute to start playing and it happens in an instant in the 2015. I just went on a long trip and had it copy about 2000 songs over, I didnt pay any attention to how long it took, I just know it was done before I arrived.

I found that if I start to play an album on the USB stick, it will only copy that album to Jukebox. If I start the copy before selecting anything, it copies the entire stick contnts to Jukebox. I stumbled into this by accident.

anyone know how to see the progress of a current copy? it initially starts off giving you a copying xx of xx screen, but it goes off after a certain amount of time.

I thought I could at least look at the jukebox to see what it has copied so far as a guide, but I found out that NONE of the files being copied show up until ALL files have been copied.

I really don't think they have thought the user interface through of copying to the jukebox. the fact that many of us are forced to only load a certain number at a time is evidence of that (i've been doing mine alphabetically - only putting songs that begin with A on my usb stick, copying those, then only putting songs that begin with B, etc)

My problem is, when I get home, I can tell that my copy is still running (because none of the files I am copying show up yet), but I CANNOT tell how many more songs it has left. SO I don't know to shut the car off and try again next trip, or let it run for awhile so the copy can complete.

am I missing something that would tell me the status of the copy while in progress?

Is there a way to adjust the time to keep the screen from going off in any of the settings?

nope, nothing at all.

Plus, if you get a call, or an xm favorite popup, etc - anything that pops up on the screen, you lose that progress screen as well.

The timeout is not that long either - I think I get thru maybe 25 songs or so as I recall (not really sure about that) before it goes away.
